Our AIR WARS server have next air maps for clean heli\jets air combat

THE MAIN THESES OF AIR COMBAT:

•HEATSEEKER ROCKETS HAVE NO EFFECT (no damage) !!!

•All main battle helicopters for both teams

•Additional helicopters\jets for both teams

•Additional helipads for repair\rearm for both teams

•70 tickets per map

•Main bases locked (uncapturable)

•RPG\LAW 1 shoot helis (give chance if you lost heli)

To diversify the gameplay for huey transport was added nitro and drop grenades . So if you’re tired of fighting, you can take a slick and have some fun

On a Siege of Khe Sahn map added AC-47 bomber - there are 2 vehicles spawned 1 by 1, it have additional grenade drops(800 Grenades) by right click, just like on our COOP and CQ servers , but with more powerfull MINIGUNS to have more fun in AIR. ENJOY!!

New update on -=AIR WARS=- server

Taking into account some player wishes and improving the dynamics of air combat, the following changes was made

Changed jets perfomance:
Top speed
acceleration
Changed jet cannons damage - they now more powerfull
For now only on hastings map, gradually will be implemented on rest maps

I think MIG21 is too fast, Corsair is better now I think. Let’s wait and see what others think.

I personally much prefer for the performance settings of vehicles to be left unmodified in general, but if there really were so many requests I don’t mind it either way. Just please do not touch the helicopters if possible. Thanks.

We are very small community( few people), but when someone suggest anything to help upgrade gameplay - i take it into account and look ways to do that. if that possible to make SSM and really made gameplay better - i do it. Increase jets speed gives apportunity to jet players fight with helicopter players , if we take Corsair - it is really very slow jet, so to make it faster that changes was made. I agree with about general unmodified vehicles, so we have CQ-SSM server where only new weapons added to vehicles, but their params are default. But for -=AIR WARS=- server this can be applied

yes, after the tests yesterday, I’ll probably make it standard or just a little higher. But the acceleration will definitely be faster now. To bad i don`t see anyway to do faster mig17, so it have only acceleration changes.
Next one changes will be iplemented with new one on next map

Currently, the Air Wars server only has one map (Operation Hastings) for now.
But now we are changing the game mode by completely removing flags.
Experience over the past few months shows that people (not all) continue to play by capturing flags, which leads to the map ending (despite the ultra-low number of tickets), preventing other people from playing who want to engage in air combat.

Spawn points only at the base, a few extra helicopters throughout the map, and that’s it!

Therefore, the decision was made to remove flags completely and leave only pure aerial combat. Several more maps, also without flags, will be added later. Suggestions and complaints were taken into account, even regarding maps with dark or light skies, which affect vision (and I agree that Hastings has the best approach in this regard).
